The clients, owners of a downtown art gallery, came to CJ for her expertise after having visited her home on The Woman’s Club of Stuart’s Holiday Tour of Homes. They also carried her artworks in their gallery and trusted her eye for aesthetics.
They asked her to repurpose many pieces of furniture but were needing to remedy a debunked foyer entry that’s flooring did not transition into the open living room. They also had a “Beam Me Up Scotty” soffit over a seating area in front of the fireplace with an outdated lounge chair and rocking chair with a bamboo coffee table and metal wall decorations that screamed “please take me to the Salvation Army!”
CJ was able to make new curtain tops from HomeGoods drapes with the right color and pattern to re-fit the bottom section of the drapes because the clients wanted to keep the same rods and hooks. New lights were installed in the recesses beside the fireplace that looked like raindrops falling on queen palms in decanters that went from a brown to a white washed planters with a few strokes of paint by CJ. All this was contrasted against the ocean blue Venetian Plaster.
